With roots in Laredo, Texas, Coach Leo’s boxing journey began in the amateur circuit before he transitioned to professional competition at the age of 21. After concluding his fighting career, he pivoted to his true passion: coaching. Over the past 24 years, he has dedicated himself to developing boxers of all ages—from young kids building confidence to amateur and professional athletes preparing for competition.
His extensive experience includes serving as the Head Coach for the Police Activities League (PAL) Boxing Program and running the boxing program for the Boys & Girls Club. Additionally, for 17 years, Coach Leo has had the privilege of training local, state, and federal law enforcement officers—teaching them essential boxing skills, sharp defensive movements, and mental resilience.
Today, he bridges the gap between athletic fight training and personal health. He actively trains and corners competitive fighters for upcoming bouts, while also working with youth athletes, high-level individuals who are already in great shape, and clients looking to lose weight and transform their bodies. He holds advanced credentials as a USA Boxing Silver Level Coach & Level II Referee/Judge, giving him an unmatched understanding of technical precision and official rules. Coach Leo is also a National Academy of Sports Medicine Certified Personal Trainer (NASM-CPT) and fully CPR/AED certified.
Whether someone is a parent looking for a positive youth program, an athlete preparing to step into the ring for a fight, or an individual looking to lose weight and build a stronger body, Coach Leo brings over two decades of real-world expertise to help clients unlock their peak potential.
